Cosmetology

Cosmetologists cut, style, color, and perm hair, and advise patrons on how to care for their hair. They also make appointments and keep records regarding their patrons. Classroom study, demonstrations, and practical work allow students to obtain the necessary experience. After graduation from the cosmetology program, students take the state licensing examination, which consists of a written test and a practical test.

Once a student clocks in for the day, that student will be in a theory class, working on practical applications, or on the clinic floor.
